A Sweet Message to Daddy

Last week when the weather was just absolutely gorgeous, Kayla took her new sidewalk decorating set outside for a little driveway artwork.
After a little while, she came inside to get me so that I could see what she had chalked and painted for Stephen when he came home. This is cute...but not as cute as the next part of her drawing for Stephen....
She is always leaving us some kind of message either on the driveway, or on our white board, or just simply drawing us pictures. I love homeschooling!

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you so much for posting this.
God has dramatically changed my life, marriage and family through blogging. I was asked in August of 2008 to start a blog and join the fun. I was really very apprehensive, then reluctantly gave in, not knowing exactly what to expect. All I knew was I prayed to God and told Him if this is what He would have me do it would have to glorify Him and not me. Most of my life has been done in glorifying SELF not caring what He thought. What a mess I've made. But God!! Is redeeming what the locusts have eaten. Giving me friends who are younger than my oldest son who have such a LOVE for Christ I am learning from them. I also prayed about everything from the name of my blog, the URL and this comment. I pray about everything before I put it online. May those reading it be blessed and perhaps come to a saving knowledge of Christ. It is not of ourselves but because of Christ we are saved and we are who we are. We don't even take a breathe without His approval. I owe my all to Christ who has redeemed me from a deep, dark, miry pit. I am far from perfect, Lord knows, and as He teaches me I even change things I've added to my blog. Thinking at first it was edifying `but is it really`. I started blogging with our family and HS in mind, but it seems to be more and more focused on Jesus and less and less on HS. I am so thankful for what God is doing through the `net. Yes, the enemy is definitely trying his very best to seek and devour. But God is ultimately in control. And this year is the year of JUBILEE!! Even with all the turmoil of the world keep looking to CHRIST JESUS.
My husband and I will be re-newing our vows on August 8, 2009, LORD willing. My parents will celebrate their 60th wedding anniv. in April of this year. My sisters, brother and I are bonding like we never have. And I am believing this is the year my Dad will become a Christian. What more can you ask for. For the first time, since I was a very little girl my Mom and I talked on the phone this morning and laughed and shed some tears and rejoiced. She complimented me and said I have absolutely totally changed and she is really proud, She will be 80 in August and I know that when she dies she can do so rejoicing and Jesus will tell her `well done`! We talked about my Dad and I told her I am believing this to be the year of JUBILEE. She said I hope so. I told her I could spout of many Bible verses to him, but what he really needs to see is true Christianity in someone's life. Immediately after we hung up I came to my blog and saw the wonderful comment from you. I then in turn came to visit your blog and saw what your daughter had done. That was the same things I would do as a child. It was like a confirmation from God.
Sorry for such a long comment.
Blessings,
Joyful Journey

BTW, have you received an e-mail letting you know your ticket to the `A Woman Inspired` conference has been paid for?

Thanks for stopping by my blog :-) and thanks for your comments. I'm glad you were able to relate...although I'm sorry that you had the experience you had growing up. Character building can come in many ways!

What sweet thing to blog about...your daughter leaving messages on the driveway for her dad :-)

Hope you have a great week!
Melissa
