Having a spot specifically picked out to study is helpful because it will allow you to feel like this is just your space. I know that when I am sitting on my couch watching tv, it is a reminder that this very same spot is where I listen and learn. If I have not studied that day, it is then that God gently reminds me that I need to do so.
My Bible is beginning to look old and worn as I continue to spend time with God each day.
I don't care though. I still love it so very much. It is my very breath that I breath. I look forward each day gleaning from its truths. I look forward to seeing myself as God would have me to see...what I am becoming through His wonderful transforming power!

sounds like a great place to study your bible
Oh Jennifer. I sigh as you describe your quiet place to spend time with the Lord.
In my former home, my sofa was my quiet place.
Now it's my computer desk that I sit at every morning, but I feel so restless.
I initially thought that this spot would be a resting place to read my devotional, listen to daily sermons, read daily emails that challenge me in my faith walk.
That isn't always the case.
All is quiet around me at this very moment but not my mind!
So, for me, it's not the place, it's the state of mind and total surrender to God's word.
I enjoyed your post very much. Thank you for sharing your special place with us.

Love your spot for time with the Lord! Thanks for sharing with us today.
There's nothing better than a comfy spot shared with the presence of God!! Thanks for sharing yours!!
Mine started out on the couch too, years ago. I am thankful for a spot in our bedroom, but it didn't matter, the Lord is so faithful to meet with us where ever we are! Thanks for sharing!

I love seeing the place where you curl up with the Lord! It makes me feel as though I am right there with you, sipping that coffee and reading the Word.
I love to see a well worn bible - it means that it is being used. !
Love you sister - Beth
