Blackberry Cobbler~Pioneer Woman Style

I tried my hand this week at homemade blackberry cobbler. All I can say is it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

This has become one of my favorite desserts of all time! It is especially delicious if you add a dollop of ice cream and whip cream and allow that to begin to melt....hmmm hmmm good! Here is the recipe:

Blackberry Cobbler
1 cup milk
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
1 and 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup of self rising flour
2 generous cups of blackberries (frozen or fresh)
***********************************
  1. Melt butter in microwaveable dish.
  2. Pour 1 cup of sugar and flour into a mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk in milk
  4. Mix well. Then pour in melted butter and whisk it all together.
  5. Rinse blackberries and pat dry.
  6. Pour batter into a buttered baking dish.
  7. Drop blackberries in batter. Make sure they are scattered evenly.
  8. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar over cobbler.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until golden and bubbly.
This recipe can be found complete with recipe card at The Pioneer Woman's website.
