Loving MY Camera

Do you see this camera?

This is my camera. I have had this camera for four years now. My husband bought it for me when we started homeschooling because he knows how much I love taking pictures.

BUT. . .

This is the camera that I have been pining over for a year now!

For some reason, I have had this thought in my mind that the camera I have is not good enough for me, even though it takes great shots like this one:

Or like this one. . .

Recently, I read a statement on someone's blog that you just need to start snapping photos with what you have, instead of trying to wait until you get the right camera.

So, I have made up my mind to love the camera that I have--because frankly, I do. If and when I am ever able to afford that kind of camera comfortably, then I will get one, but for the time being, I will fall in love with mine!

I am finding that in my life right now, I am just really tired of wanting what everyone else has. It is time to embrace what I have and thank God for the provisions instead of wasting my time wanting what I cannot have.

Amen!!! That is exactly how I feel too! I want one of those DSLR's, but I think I would feel buyers remorse. I'm content with my point & shoot right now, too.

The Nikon (or Canon as my hubby has) are great cameras but...if you aren't into all the settings and really just need/want a camera that takes good clear pictures when you want it to, your camera looks like it works great for that! I have had my Kodak Easy Share CX7530 for over 5 years now and it works great but it eats batteries so it is almost worthless. I broke down and bought another point and shoot camera that is 'better' supposedly. But yea, I felt guilty after buying that and it was extremely cheaper than the Kodak was over 5 years ago!
My point was, if it ain't broke don't fix it! :) May God continue to bless you and your family :)

Amen! (Hahahah I swear I was thinking that before I clicked leave a comment) :)
I just got a new camera (my old one broke) and I ended up buying the exact same model. I want a Canon Rebel but until then, I LOVE my sony!!
