How School is Going

I haven't posted in a while about how school is going with us. Since we changed curriculums, our school year has gotten off to a great start! The kids are really learning alot about all different kinds of subjects, things I never thought that they would learn about!Robert who before has always hated math and reading, has come to love both subjects now very much! I thought I would share with you a little of what our year looks like, the things that we are studying:

Math(we are using Math U See. It is wonderful!!!)

English (Analytical Grammar- I am TOTALLY sold on this grammar curriculum. It is a bit pricey, but it is wonderful!)

Reading-right now we are reading about King Arthir and his Knights

Spelling- We do dictation and narration both written and oral (This does actually work by the way!)

Civics-we are studying the election process right now

History-we are studying about all the presidents and events that went on during the lifetime of Abraham Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln's World)

Art/Music Appreciation-we study one composer and one artist per month

Science-Apologia Astronomy

Not sure if I left anything out, but so far, this curriculum has worked great for us! Thanks to all the many heartfelt prayers that have been said for us during our transition time and adjusting time!
