Many Things I am Thankful For

Today as I sit here writing this, I am just in awe of how God has supplied our needs in the last 8 months of Stephen being out of work. We have never wanted anything or needed anything that God has not been there to meet that need. Bills have been paid, shelter has been provided, and food has been lavished on our table. I am remided of the verse that says, I have never seen the righteous forsaken or His seed begging for bread.

I am also so grateful for my husband and son getting to spend some serious father son time together. As Robert is quickly growing up (he will be 15 in 6 months), it is more important for Stephen to be there NOW to show him how a man is to handle himself in this world. Robert is beginning to get a little ridicule from some of his so called friends because he doesn't have a girlfriend yet. I am thankful that he is waiting for just the right girl and the right time.

Kayla and I are getting to spend some one on one time doing girly things and talking. I love it that my kids are getting in to the age where they like to do things with Stephen and I. They are not ashamed of us as some teenagers are. In fact, Kayla and I are going today to pick some strawberries from a farm. She is so excited. I love it that the simplest thing excites her. She doesn't need all these lavish gifts. She is so easy to please.

I am thankful that my busy season is over and I can relax and have an easy Summer watching my children grow. I love Summer. I don't like the heat, but I love the lazy, hazy days!

I am also thankful for friends who will let you borrow their homeschool items to keep from having to spend extra money that I don't have to spend! They are wonderful! (Thanks Jody)

What are you thankful for today? Why not share it at Truth 4 The Journey?

I am also thankful to God for such wonderful family that He blessed me with, for love and peace that are present in our home, and most of all, for His faithfulness. " All things work for good to thse who love God and keep His commandments." Thanks for sharing Jennifer, I really enjoy reading your blog.
