Free Yarn~What Do You Do With It?

Do you remember when I told you about all the free crocheting stuff I had been given?

To date, I have made a baby boy blanket

a yellow fuzzy baby blanket

and this one here is my newest edition--yellow and green baby blanket.

I am having a ball teaching myself how to crochet using You Tube videos. In fact, I am now working on Kayla's Christmas present or one of them that she has asked me to make her. She wants a throw made in electric blue, lime green, and black. We'll see how that turns out.

What have you been making lately?

Awesome job on the blanket. I started on one for my son, but never finished. I'm not good at the crocheting knitting thing. No matter what I did my blanket just kept getting smaller on one end, and i got frustrated and quit.

But I am happy to say that I made him a beautiful patch quilt. Sewing is really my area of expertise.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Following back!

You should read a book called
The Friday Night Knitting Club,
beautifully written!

Hopping over btw :)

First off, you did a great job on that blanket. The nice thing about crochet (I knit, too) is that it's easy to pick up and you can't screw it up too badly!

I think your newt step are scarves for Christmas or granny squares (lots of great tutorials on granny squares and they are so IN).

I am here for the Sunday blog hops and am following you via google reader. I hope to see you at Dropped Stitches.

I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures again when I can comfortably sit with my crochet hook in hand. :) I "inherited" my great-grandma's yarn collection a few years back, and last winter I used it all (was mostly odds and ends) to start a "scrap" afghan - lots of beautiful colors and a great way to remember her.

What a great blankie! I've been slacking in the knitting and crotech departments. In fact, I have an unfinished blanket I started oh...6 years ago. I really need to get it done!
