Homeschool Highlights: Oct 9th
Since this week was fall break for our public school friends, we decided to make this an easy week. We took a week off from My Father's World and caught up on our reading, math, and english that seemed to be lagging behind where we had been off sick.
Now we are back on track and next week, we will begin our study on Brazil. I cannot wait! I have always wanted to travel and this is a great way to learn about all the countries and cultures in our world.
One good thing is that this week marks our 9th week in school, so the kids will be getting their report cards this weekend. They are both really excited. I always make them wait to see what grades they made...they are dieing from anticipation!
How has your week been?

Glad you were able to "catch up" and feel good about next week.
Does your state require that you give grades? I don't hear of homeschoolers that give report cards very often. Just curious :)
I stopped by from She Looketh Well for the blog party. I'm a homeschooling mom, too, and love it! You've got a great blog here. Clicking the follow button!
God Bless,
Jackie
We have to give report cards too. It stinks. Anyway, we don't have to use grades. We can use "satisfactory, average, or below average". Or something similar. I have been giving them grades this year because I have a 5th grader and I want her to keep on track. Anyway, love the blog! Just thought I'd say hi and visit.
Stopping by from the blog party! Nice to meet you.
