Random Thoughts From My Frazzled Brain
Big changes are taking place in our family in the upcoming months. They will affect us greatly, but you know what? I am at TOTAL peace with them which is really weird considering that I usually freak out and worry immensely.
I won't share what the big changes are just yet, but just be in prayer for our family. Pray that we will continue to seek God as faithfully as we have in the past and that we will trust Him through all the changes that are taking place.
My house is a TOTAL mess this week. I have just been not in the mood to clean at all.
My daughter and her friend are waiting for homemade waffles, so guess I better stop being random and go make some!

How Much Is Too Much?
How much of your life do you share through social media like Facebook, Twitter, My Space, your blog? I am one of those that would post things like:
"Going to Wal-Mart"
"Eating at Chili's"
"Can't wait until we move"
"It's almost time for hubby to get off work"
But then, my husband said, "Honey, I don't think its a good idea for you to share so much of our personal information on these sites. You never know who is out there lurking and reading what you write."
I got to thinking about what he was saying and he is SO right. I watched a segment of a news program where a lady was sharing on Facebook about when she was going and when she was coming home. One of her followers was reading it and then all of a sudden she was attacked and her house broken into. They had gotten down to the "T" where she was at all times because she was posting things that should have never been posted.
I am truly glad for my husband's leading in this area. More than that, I am glad that I have heeded his advice. I don't want anyone knowing all my business!
What about you? How much do you share and how much is too much?

Random Time
This week has just been really hard on me. Even though I have enjoyed my time with my husband, I really miss my kids. Spending every day with them for the last four years has caused us to just be really close knit. I love that. They come home tomorrow! YAY!!
Stephen and I have been spending time with each other developing our relationship this week. I have found that I love my husband's company better than any other. I enjoy just sitting and talking with him about our future.
I started working on homeschool plans this week. I have redid schedules twice and now I am working on a third time. I am determined this year to work off a schedule instead of flying by the seat of my pants. I need that time.
I have decided that I am getting away from Facebook and Twitter. I deleted my Twitter account already. I have not deleted Facebook, because I kind of like the games on there, but I just don't want to be tied up to my computer ALL. THE. TIME. My family and homelife suffers when I do.
I am working on making a work schedule for myself. With school starting in about a month, I need to get my days scheduled again.
I guess that is about all the randomness I can come up with this week!

What Is It About This Show?
I have an obsession with a tv show that has even ME puzzled!
I am totally in love with Say Yes to the Dress that comes on the TLC channel. I am not a girly girl by any means, so what is my fascination with these dresses?
I think my secret obsession with this is show is because way down deep, I wish I would have had a big wedding with a gown and the works. I purchased a beautiful wedding gown when I was 17 years old from a consignment shop for $150. It was the most I had ever spent on any piece of clothing. It hung in the back of my closet and one day I was hoping to wear it. That day never came because I got married at the courthouse and wound up leaving my dress at my mom's house when I moved out early.
When I watch this show, I dream that this is me trying on these gorgeous gowns (not that I would buy one because they are WAY to expensive), but to just try one on. I would love to walk down the aisle with my daddy. He never got to really give me away. I think he was disappointed way back when I got married because he had always told me how he looked forward to that day.
I want to dance that first dance with my husband (and when I say first dance girls--I am serious! We have been married for 16 years, been together for 18 and have NEVER danced once.)
So what would your perfect wedding look like? My daughter loves the video of the crazy wedding dancers coming down the aisle. That is how she wants to be married. Me? Wow...I think this is how I would do it:
Wedding song for walking down the aisle: The Closer I Get by Roberta Flack--this song is one I used to listen to a lot when we were dating. It just says everything about how I fell in love with my man.
Vows: I want to write my own vows most definitely
Colors: yellow. I love yellow roses--I always have. I can picture my bouquet filled to the brim with yellow and white roses with sprays of baby's breath (brings back memories).
The First Dance: Endless Love by Dianna Ross and Lionel Richie
Dance with Daddy: This one is a no brainer--Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn. My all time favorite that I sing to my daddy all the time.
My Dress: Okay, so I know I will probably never get this dress, but I love this one. It has been my favorite on the show:
I love this one because it is me--simple, but so elegant. No poofy ruffles and tons of layers, but just something that says "Look at me. Today I am beautiful."
What about you? What does your dream wedding look like?

Sometimes
~ Sometimes I wish I was the girly girl in my dreams.
~ Sometimes I wish I never had to lift a finger to do anything.
~ Sometimes I wish I could take a trip anywhere I wanted to and stay as long as I like.
~Sometimes I wish I was known as someone other than wife, mother, and worker.
~ Sometimes I wish I could go and shop until my hearts content and buy whatever I wanted.
~ Sometimes I wish I could get my nails done and not feel guilty about the expense.
~ Sometimes I wish I could really say what I feel without worrying about hurting someone's feelings.
~ Sometimes I wish I didn't care what other people think.
~ Sometimes I wish I could say no and be okay with my answer.
~ Sometimes I wish I could just go and have fun and not worry about the consequences.
~Sometimes I wish I didn't always have to be so strong and independent.
~ Sometimes I wish. . . just sometimes.
But then. . . .
I remember why I was put here, so I put my sometimes aside accept where I am and who I am For Such a Time as This.
