Out For a Sunday Afternoon Drive

Whatever happened to enjoying a Sunday afternoon drive with family? We did that recently--just to stop and enjoy ourselves. Someone else seemed to be enjoying themselves a little more than the rest of us.

Gotta love those that really take to heart the idea of resting and relaxing!

What Have Those Precious Pooches Been Up To?

My dogs. . . they love me! My pooches are so crazy. I love each of them like they were my own babies. Here is what each has been up to lately.

Ruffles does what he does best and that is sleep and protect. Here, though, he was trying to get someone to play tug-of-war with him and his little blue blankie. He is a mess, but he is my Corgi! You gotta love him.

Puff has decided that he like standing on my coffee table. He is at eye level with whoever is sitting on the couch. This is his way of getting your attention. Who could not love this little fluffball of a poodle?

And of course Tucker the chihuahua is busy as ever being spoiled rotten, sleeping, and fighting for the "man of the house" title.

What have your pets been up to lately?

My Shop is Now Open!

I am really excited about the opening of my Open Sky shop! I enjoy sharing with y'all products that have worked for me.

One of the newest things I have received is this adorable coffee mug.

This mug is a little more expensive than most that I have purchased ($14.95). I guess I was just taken by the person who is selling these. She has a corgi named Bailey that looks just like my Ruffles! It is unreal. And in honor of my little Ruff-Ruff
Isn't he just too darn cute?
I decided to choose this mug as my first item of choice! PLUS, I am going to start weaning myself completely off of coffee and start drinking tea instead (I am down to 1/4 a cup so I am doing great).

If you would like one of these adorable coffee mugs, all you need to do is just click that add to cart button and you can order one for yourself.

When Sleeping Dogs Lie. . . Everywhere

At lunchtime, this is the scenario that my husband has to look forward to.

In the evening, after everything settles down, this is what I have to look forward to.

It must be nice being a little chihuahua, huh?

He Is the Most Adorable

Okay, I know I have two other dogs, but for some odd reason, this little dude has just simply won my heart over.

He is just wayyy to snuggly and loveable. He looks to me for comfort and love, which I am SO good at giving to him.

He loves the sun and napping when no one thinks he is looking:

Most of all, he is just the best buddy any girl woman can have.

Will the Real Mr. Weenie Step Forward

You know who Mr. Weenie is, right? (please tell me you know, so that I don't feel like the only adult in the world who loves this mutt)
Okay, I feel better now! A couple of weeks ago, we went to a yard sale and Kayla found a weenie dog outfit. Needless to say it was purchased (.50) and brought home to humiliate put on the dogs.

If you don't know my daughter, she loves to dress up the dogs. Puff was once Mr. Brown, An Egyptian Prince, Santa's Little Helper, campers, the beach bum, and now. . . are you ready for this one?

Ain't he adorable as a hot dog? Now you know that a costume does not come in this house without being tried on Tucker as well.

Tucker was not too fond of the hot dog suit, but Puff LOVES it. He gets all excited when Kayla pulls it out and tries to nip at your hand when you go to take it off of him.

However, I think the hot dog costume looks best on this fella!

I know, he's crazy right? I love my fun filled family!

When No One Is Looking. . .

When no one is looking, I climb up on the couch to my favorite corner, find my favorite pillow and. . .

sleep my morning away.

(I love this picture of Ruffles. He is always crawling up on the couch when he thinks no one is watching to sleep on his favorite green pillow. It's been his since he was a baby.)

Doggone Tired

Have you ever been this tired before?

No? How about this tired?

OR maybe even THIS tired:

Still not convinced? What if you were just plum tuckered out from playing with your new favorite toy?

It must be cool living the life of a dog--sleep when you want, eat when you want, play when you want.

The life of a dog!

Best Buds

What are you doing under there?

I am hiding from you poodle boy!

Is he out here?

Oh no. . . he found me! I'll get you little white dog!

Sunday Is Always Nap Time Around Here

I love how my dogs always find some way to get as close as they can to me when I take a nap. Reminds me of Jesus. . .when I open my eyes from sleep, HE is always there.

Puff: My Story

When I first ran away from home, I found a wonderful family with a cute little girl who wanted to love on me all the time. The only problem is that they would return me to my owner every time I would run away to their house. Time after time I would come find them and time after time they would give me back to the man who owned me. He was mad at me for running away and he would hit me with things like brooms and newspapers. I was a very unhappy little dog.

UNTIL. . .

The old man decided to give me to this family because he was tired of me running away. I was so happy! The little girl and I spent so much time together!

We played dress-up

we snuggled up together and watched movies

and I kind of just slept wherever I wanted to.

Even though I had this great new home, I still wasn't convinced that they loved me. Every time the door was open and I had a chance, I would run as hard as I could. As the little girl and her mom would chase me, I knew I was gonna get hit with something, but to my surprise, they would pick me up, snuggle me close and tell me that they loved me SO much and not to run away. Then we would go back in the house and play some more.

After a while, I got a new play buddy! He kept trying to steal my favorite toys, but after a while we became the best buds and now we are inseparable!

I have now been with this family for almost two years and I finally decided one day that I LOVE them like they love me. I decided to trust them and let them be my family forever.

Now my little girl lets me go out with her all the time. Since I started trusting them, I don't have to run anymore. I know they love me. I don't run anymore. It is nice to call somewhere home and mean it!
